WRITER'S WATER RETREAT

DAY 2

 

A Full-Day Immersion in Flow,
Creativity & Caribbean Serenity
 Fajardo, Puerto Rico 
 
The Writer’s Water Retreat is the signature experience of our 3-Day Writing Retreat. It is a transformative full-day excursion designed to immerse writers in movement, reflection, and creative flow. As special guests of the captain, participants will spend the day at a Marina in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. Beginning with morning writing workshops held in the Marina Business Center. Here, writers will learn new techniques, strengthen their voice, and gather “writing seeds” to carry with them throughout the day.
 
From there, the group boards the vessel and sets out across the sparkling waters of the Fajardo Harbor, where the Caribbean becomes both muse and sanctuary. Throughout the journey, the captain will anchor in quiet coves and secluded pockets of stillness surrounded by turquoise waters. In turn, creating a natural haven for deep reflection and uninterrupted writing. These tranquil pauses invite writers to step away from traditional, desk-bound habits and explore new rituals of creativity shaped by rhythm, nature, and breath. Participants can write in notebooks, on tablets, or on laptops using our mobile WiFi access. Whether you are capturing a poem, shaping a scene, or drafting a narrative arc, the water’s gentle sway encourages an ease and openness that unlocks new dimensions of the creative process.
 
As the day unwinds, writers will gather to share their insights and their newly sprouted ideas before enjoying a sunset meal by the harbor — a moment of community, nourishment, and gratitude. The evening concludes with the comfort of a private studio suite, offering a peaceful and inspiring space to continue writing long into the night. A carefully curated balance between creative community and intentional solitude, designed to help emerging and established writers discover, expand, and honor their artistic voice.
